CTF questioning spending of Alberta School Boards Association

Hotels, flights between Calgary and Edmonton to skip the bus, and office space with a nice view of the federal building in Alberta’s capital city — those are the perks the Canadian Taxpayers Federation is pointing to for members of the Alberta School Boards Association.
CTF director Paige MacPherson says the association will start posting its expenses online in the new year, but that’s not enough.
“We need to see the expenses for the past five years, because it sounds as though that’s exactly when the concerns have been raised. And, I mean, they’re being raised by people whom we respect,” says MacPherson.
The CTF released an email from Health Minister Sarah Hoffman, who served on the board before running in the provincial election.
At the time, she said there was “a great deal of discretionary spending”.
