School closed due to air quality issues

Students at the University School will be getting a day off on Friday, due to a fire at the Stadium shopping centre on Thursday.

In a release, the Calgary Board of Education said the school was still dealing with air quality issues in the area from the fire, and that parents will need to find alternative arrangements for their children.

The release also said the board tried, but was unable to find a temporary space for the students,

The CBE is working with the Calgary Fire Department, and hopes to have the problems resolved and doors open by Monday.
