It’s time to open up your hearts, as KiSS 95.9’s Toy Angels Drive returns for the 21st year.
Morning Show Hosts Mookie and Billie Jo will be stationed in front of a warm fire at IKEA in the city’s southeast Friday morning starting at 5 a.m. to launch the campaign.
There will also be on-the-go breakfasts of hot chocolate, coffee and muffins for the generous souls that drop by.
“We collect new and unwrapped toys across the city to make sure every child gets a gift under the tree for Christmas,” Billie Jo said.
“We’re looking forward to seeing how we respond this year. We’re talking about the economy right now,” Mookie said, adding whatever you can give, will make a child’s holiday that much brighter. “I mean, just imagine as a kid, waking up on Christmas morning, without a gift. I mean that’s what this is all about: to make sure that we as a community lift each other up.”
For those who can’t make it to the launch Friday, a full list of drop-off locations will be posted on the KiSS website.
