Man arrested in connection to double murder

Calgary Police have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection to a double murder in the northeast.

On October 19, the bodies of Selamawit Alem, 54, and Julie Tran, 25, were found in a home in the 200 block of Coventry Close NE.

Alem was Tran’s caretaker, and an autopsy has determined both women were stabbed to death.

The arrested is not being named, and has not been charged at this point.
