Ten-year-old dead after farming incident

A 10-year-old boy is dead after a farming incident near Killam, Alta., southeast of Edmonton.
RCMP said in a release that on Saturday around 11 a.m., the boy was driving a forklift when the machine somehow tipped over.
Initial investigation shows the boy lost control of the machine while driving on a gravel road on the family farm, before rolling over into a ditch.
He was pronounced dead on scene.
According to family members, the boy had operated the forklift before. His name is not being released out of respect for the family’s privacy.
