Man killed in SW crash

A man is dead after a fatal crash in the city’s southwest.

Acting Detective Martin Taylor says it happened at around 2:15 a.m. Monday, near the intersection of Somervale Drive and 6 Street SW.

“It’s one vehicle. It ended up hitting a fence. How it ended up hitting a fence I don’t know, traffic and re-construction and so on and so forth down at the scene,” he said.

He says there aren’t any other details yet, but adds there will be road closures around the scene as investigators try to piece together what happened.
