Charge laid in August shooting

A man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a shooting that took place this summer.
At approximately 7:20 p.m. on August 15th, officers were called to the 100 block of Whitehorn Crescent NE, for reports of gunshots heard in the area. Investigators determined shots were fired from a moving vehicle at the victim while he was in his car. The victim and the accused are believed to know one another. However, the victim was uncooperative with police.
Tarek El-Rafie was arrested November 21st at the Calgary International Airport and is now facing a number of weapons-related charges.
The 24-year-old was released by the courts on a recognizance. His next court date is unknown at this time.
