Santa Claus isn’t the only one watching to see if people have been good this year.
An online business based out of Boston called Ship Coal Yo, is helping customers send a special holiday surprise to those who’ve been naughty.
Owner Kyle Waring says some orders have been fun pranks between friends, but others are sending coal to people they think need to be sent a message.
“So, there’s the one product that includes a little mini Christmas stocking — it comes more prepared, and the other product is a customized piece of coal, so a large lump of coal, anthracite coal from Virginia, and we customize it by writing, you know, whatever you want, on the piece of coal,” he explained.
He adds they’ve already received some strange requests.
“One person, I guess, decided to tell her husband that she’s pregnant through a message on the coal. So, we thought that was kind of strange, but kind of really funny too at the same time,” Waring said.
The deadline to ship to Canada for Christmas morning is December 15.
