Common Sense Calgary proposing solution to traffic congestion

A group of concerned citizens and industries want City Council to do something about Calgary’s roads.
Common Sense Calgary will be at City Hall Tuesday to talk traffic congestion.
It comes after a survey ranked it as the number one concern of those living in Cowtown.
Mayor Naheed Nenshi says he’s open to listening, but the Calgary Transportation Plan already aims to address these problems.
“So, if our friends from the Manning Center and Common Sense Calgary have lots of smart transportation engineers with brilliant ideas, I’d love it. If their answer is to build more roads and synchronize green lights, try again,” he told reporters.
The group will be holding a press conference at 11 a.m.
