Cab drivers support Veterans’ Food Bank

There will be a big donation to the Veterans Food Bank Tuesday from some taxi drivers.
Over the past month, Checker Yellow Cabs has been collecting food donations as part of the program Cram a Cab for a Vet.
The idea started when Mohammad Tariq found a wallet containing a lot of cash in his cab.
He turned over the cash but after three months it was given back to him because the owner was never found.
Tariq decided to give the money to the food bank.
Over 2,000 drivers and one hundred staff at Checker Yellow Cabs were inspired and decided to get involved by supporting the Veterans Food Bank.
The food collected will be delivered to the food bank at 10 a.m.
