ALERT blocks off Penbrooke home

A home in the community of Penbrooke has been blocked off by Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams after complaints from neighbours put it on the province’s radar.

The home is at 202 Penworth Drive SE.

A drug investigation was launched back in July after neighbours complained of drug activity.

ALERT says the property has been a trouble spot for Calgary police, who have responded to the home 100 times in the past two years, including a call for shots fired in July that left bullet holes in the walls and ceiling.

Police also raided the home on November 3 of this year and found drugs and weapons inside.

It will now be blocked off for 90 days during, which the tenant is barred from the property.
