ENMAX donating work boots to Drop-In Centre residents

ENMAX employees are giving a boost to other people looking for work.

They have donated more than 125 pairs of steel toed boots and work wear to people at the Calgary Drop-In Centre, realizing expensive gear can be a hurdle to employment.

“There might be 10 guys in line ahead of me, but if you don’t have the steel toed boots, your options really become limited,” Max, a resident says in a video on ENMAX’s website.

The campaign will continue into the New Year.

For every share of the video on Twitter or Facebook, using the hashtag #bootswork, the power company will donate $5 to the homeless shelter in Calgary, and to the Bissell Centre in Edmonton.
