Flight delays and cancellations at YYC

As Calgary deals with more snow, Ontario is expecting some storms of its own.
Freezing rain and winter storm watches in that province are leading to delays and cancellations at YYC.
Henry Stevens with the Calgary Airport Authority said this is business as usual during winter.
“It’s a complicated airspace. With air travel between a variety of destinations, aircrafts can sometimes be late coming in and it tends to take, perhaps, a little bit longer to get things turned around,” said Stevens.
He added, it’s the airline’s call whether to delay or cancel a flight, but you should always be expecting it may take extra time during this kind of weather.
WestJet flights to Kitchener and London, Ontario have already been scrapped because of freezing rain warnings and a winter storm watch in Southern Ontario.
