It’s been a chilly past week or so in Calgary, but things are turning around.
City Meteorologist Andrew Schultz says a warm front is on the way through the city!
“A couple of things come into play here; arctic air is going to retreat and move further to the north. That’s good news for us, maybe not the best for areas in the central and north central sections of the province, but with this arctic air drawing off, we get into more of a mild air mass, first of all, and then a northwest flow, and it’s on that west component that brings us above zero,” he said.
In fact, Schultz says Calgarians will see sunshine and highs in the mid-single digits right through the New Year.
