Police delay CTrain after mischief call

There was a bit of a delay and excitement for CTrain riders Thursday morning, after police boarded following a frantic call to 911.

Police tell 660 NEWS, a woman called from the City Hall station, just before 8:30 a.m., claiming her father had been slashed in the throat.

Crews quickly converged on the area, but found no victim.

They then stopped all train activity, searched CCTV footage for who may have called, and boarded the trains looking for the caller.

One woman is now in police custody, though they aren’t sure if she was the one behind what investigators believe was a mischief call.
