Spruce Grove gunfire incident now under control

Spruce Grove RCMP say they have the situation under control, after urging people to stay in their basements while officers dealt with reports of a man shooting a firearm from inside his home Tuesday afternoon.
Mounties were called to the Garneau Gate area after reports of gunfire at a home at about 2 p.m.
RCMP in the community west of Edmonton flooded to the residence, and urged the public to stay away from the area.
Hours later, RCMP officers announced the situation had been resolved and there is no concern for the public’s safety.
Several reports say one person was taken into custody. RCMP is not releasing more information at this time.
