Calgary based airline celebrates milestone with to flight Hawaii

WestJet celebrated its first flight from Alberta to Hawaii Sunday, on its very own Boeing 767-300.

Until now the airline had been flying to the Hawaiian islands on leased aircraft.

The carrier will operate two 767-300 aircraft from Calgary and Edmonton to Honolulu and Maui.

WestJet’s first service to Hawaii left at 8:15 a.m. from Edmonton on Sunday morning, touching down in Maui at 12:37 p.m.
