Fair Trade Calgary looking for logo

An organization that wants to make Calgary the country’s 22nd “Fair Trade Town” is turning to local artists and designers in the city for help.
Erin Bird, a spokesperson with Fair Trade Calgary, which will be launching a campaign to bring more fair trade products to local stores by the end of this year, told 660 NEWS, the organization needs a logo before it can start.
“We’re calling upon any students, individuals, professional graphic artists, basically anyone who’s interested who would want to make a submission to help create a logo for Fair Trade Calgary,” Bird said.
All submissions will be judged by a panel, and a shortlist will be posted on the organization’s website. From there, it will be up to the public to vote on the best logo, which will be used by the group.
The winner will receive $250 in cash, and the runner-up will get a $100 prize.
The contest closes on January 31st at 4 p.m.
