Announcement on diversifying Alberta’s economy coming

The province is putting its money where its mouth is.

Rachel Notley has been calling for diversification in Alberta’s economy since she took office last spring.

Thursday, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Deron Bilous will announce additional funding aimed at creating high tech jobs and financing other measures to expand the economy beyond oil and gas.

The announcement is scheduled for 10 a.m.
