Wednesday marks Family Literacy Day in Alberta, and the Calgary Public Library is hoping you’ll channel your inner bookworm.
It’s all part of the Read for 15 Challenge, calling on Albertans to read for at least 15 minutes.
Calgarians are being asked to crack open a book, a newspaper, or take in some words on the web, and then share your experience on social media using #Readfor15yyc, to let everyone know how readerly the City of Calgary is.
Councillor Evan Woolley will be doing his part, lending his eyes and voice to a Storytime at the City Hall Atrium at 11:15 a.m.
He’ll be joined by Bill Ptacek, the CEO of the Calgary Public Library, and Library Board Chair Janet Hutchinson.
