Comic book legend Stan Lee is coming to Calgary after all.

There was concern last week that Lee’s final Canadian appearance would be at a Toronto Comic Expo in September, but the Calgary Expo has confirmed ‘the godfather of the modern comic superhero’ will be at this year’s event.

Last year, the 93-year-old had to cancel his Calgary appearance due to unexpected production changes, but he vowed he would move heaven and earth to visit this year.

Lee, the genius behind Marvel Comics, will appear at the Expo from Friday to Sunday at a spotlight panel and participate in autograph and photo sessions.

The popular event runs April 28 to May 1 at Stampede Park.
