It was a very early wakeup call for people in a Huntington Hills condo complex.
They were forced out of their homes while firefighters battled a fence and deck fire.
Batallion Chief Al Magwood tells 660 NEWS what crews found when they arrived shortly before 3 a.m.
“The deck and fence fully involved with flames encroaching on the end condo unit. A passerby actually assisted the two occupants of the condo to self rescue and also called into 911,” he says.
Some flames got into the home through an open window but were quickly extinguished, however, not before significant damage was done to the front of the unit.
All the neighbours were allowed to return to their beds shortly after firefighters arrived. No one was injured.
