Attack on Honduran capital kills at least 10

At least ten people were shot dead in an attack in the Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa Saturday.

Multiple media outlets report five men went into a billiards hall in the violent Northeastern 1 de Diciembre neighborhood, and opened fire with AK-47 assault rifles.

An officer says that at least three of the five attackers were wearing the police uniforms and bullet-proof vests.

Eight people died on scene, and two others later died in hospital.

No arrests have been made.

Violence is not uncommon in the Latin American nation, where there’s an average of 16 homicides every day.
