Police lay charges in robbery

The Calgary police have charged two men following a bank robbery last week.

The robbery happened just after 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 29, at a Scotiabank in the 1900 block of Uxbridge Dr. N.W.

A man went up to the teller with a robbery note, that said he had a weapon and demanded money, and he left with an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was hurt in the incident.

After some investigation, police determined a second man was involved in the robbery as well.

On Thursday, officers arrested and charged 33-year-old Daniel Stephen Gibson and 20-year-old Sukhmanjit Singh Dhindsa with one count of robbery each, as well as multiple outstanding warrants.

Both will appear in court later this week.
