The Leighton Arts Centre is hosting its Spring show Saturday afternoon.
The show features Calgary artists Gary McMillan and Jean Guitard.
Curator Stephanie Doll told 660 NEWS, both artists offer a unique perspective.
“They both have very quicky work. One is abstract contemporary and one is figurative contemporary, so it’s not abstract, it is realist. I thought they would be really great contrast with each other,” Doll said.
Guitard, in partnership with the Kensington Pub, is offering a free bus ride to and from the gallery.
“A lot of people are giving their name. It’s going to be a little bus ride up there. It’s easier, nobody has to drive. A lot of people don’t know too much about the Leighton Arts Centre. Right away we’re pretty sure it’s going to be a big turnout,” Guitard said.
Those wishing to take the bus can meet at the pub anytime before 1 p.m.
The show runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. For directions, or more information, visit Leighton Arts Centre website.
