Police are investigating an attempted break and enter at the Riverbend Sobey’s in the southeast.
Det. Jody Cross says it happened at around 4 a.m. Monday.
“A vehicle was used to smash the front doors; however, they weren’t that successful in gaining entry, so nothing was done. What they were targeting — no idea. So, right now it’s an attempted break and enter with just a lot of property damage,” he said.
He says they believe the vehicle used was a truck, but investigators don’t have a description yet.
Police are going over video camera footage which should give a better picture of what happened.
No one was injured.
