Batman battles Robin in court this weekend.
It’s all part of the fun at the Calgary Courthouse for ‘Law Day’ on Saturday.
They’ll have some demonstration trials suitable for the whole family, that are essentially mock plays in a trial-like setting.
Spokesperson Sylvie Welsh said it introduces Calgarians to our legal system and promotes access to justice.
”It’s a great opportunity to also tour around the courthouse, head down to the cells, see what they look like and meet police officers, sheriffs, clerks and judges that will be running some of the events,” said Welsh.
”This year, the stars of our (demonstration) trials are Batman. We also have a musical with Cinderella and Elsa from Frozen, and we have another one with the minions from Despicable Me.”
They will also have their popular ‘dial a lawyer’ program, where you can get up to 20 minutes of free advice by phoning a toll-free number.
