An expert says before companies think about cutting staff, they should think about cutting printing.
Jim Rempel is the president of POG Consulting in Calgary.
He tells 660 NEWS, some companies spend a lot on printing.
“Imagine if one person when they print, whether it’s two pages a day, or a hundred pages a day, and you take that over, you know, 20 work days in a month, times a year. It adds up. That would cost about $1200 a year for that person in that organization,” Rempel says.
He says with the right plan in place, companies could reduce printing costs by 30 per cent, or roughly $400 per person each year.
