The opening date for the National Music Centre in the East Village has been revealed.
Studio Bell will open its doors to the public on Canada Day, July 1, with free admission for the day.
This new state-of-the-art facility is the first national cultural institution dedicated to celebrating music in Canada in all of its forms.
Much more than a museum, the 160-square foot building includes five floors of exhibition space with an impressive collection of musical instruments, equipment and artifacts that span over 450 years of technology and innovation, Canadian music memorabilia and three Canadian music halls of fame.
After the grand opening, admission will be $18 for adults and $11 for kids.
