Wednesday is International Museum Day, and Calgary has a lot of great places to visit.
One of those places is the Aero Space Museum.
Events Coordinator Herb Grieder invites Calgarians to check out their showcase of the city’s aviation history in a World War II hangar, built in 1941.
“The museum has 23 aircraft on display ranging from the 1909 Silver Dart, the first aircraft to fly in Canada, to a replica reproduction of a world war one Softwood Tri-Plane,” he said.
Duchess Kate Middleton’s grandfather trained in the same hangar and visitors will find a plaque on display at the museum.
