Police cruisers, belonging to British Columbia RCMP officers, were broken into in Airdrie on Wednesday morning.
After staying overnight at the Ramada Inn off the QE2 Highway, the officers discovered several items had been taken from their cars, including three magazines loaded with bullets.
Thieves also made off with a can of pepper spray, two pairs of handcuffs, and several items of RCMP clothing, but no weapons.
The officers were on their way back to BC, after assisting with the wildfires in Fort McMurray.
