WestJet asks Canadians to join missing child network

It’s a massive appeal to help find missing kids.

WestJet and the Missing Children Society of Canada are asking Canadians to join the world’s first online search party.

The Most Valuable Network, created with help from Microsoft, automatically posts missing children alerts to a user’s donated Facebook or Twitter feed.

WestJet’s Jenifer Badry says it will allow them to reach millions of people, and hopefully discourage someone from taking a child in the first place.

The goal is for 41,342 new users to sign up Wednesday: one person for each child reported missing every year.
