It’s a big day for Tim Hortons.
The restaurant is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Camp Day and they will be sending more than 19,000 kids to various camps, including one in Alberta.
Spokesperson Dave Newnham says because these kids come from low-income families, it can be a life-changing experience.
“They’re missing out on a lot of those types of opportunities to grow those life skills we all take for granted, you know, accepting a challenge, setting goals, being motivated,” he said. “And so the camp is a really fun and engaging way of building those skills in kids that we know are going to help them be successful in life as they grow up.”
One hundred per cent of coffee sales at participating Tim Hortons will be donated to the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation.
You can also purchase a Camp Day bracelet for $2.
