This article is more than 5 years old.
This week meet Misty, the three-legged, three-year-old pitbull cross.
“And she’s just the happiest dog that everybody meets” says Nikki Dokken, with AARCS. “She’s got that beautiful pitbull smile, she’s always super happy and excited to meet everyone, to play, to do new things, to learn.”
Misty, is very friendly with everyone she meets.
“The only thing with her, is that she’s very boisterous and excitable, so with the little ones she’d probably knock them over jumping up and stuff, so we say [she should] go to a home with kids a little bit older” says Dokken.
If you’re looking to add Misty as a companion dog; “She’s very good with dogs that she knows, but she takes a little while to warm up new dogs, so she’ll definitely need somebody that is used to introducing dogs and will work through with her on that.”
Dokken says that even though Misty may be pretty excited to be around cats, she may have a little too much fun playing with them.
Misty is house trained, crate trained, does really well on car rides, and even on three legs she LOVES to run and play fetch.
She’ll will need a good run every single day, but will reward you with daily cuddles and that cute pitbull smile.
