Calgary restaurant helping Fort McMurray

A Calgary restaurant is opening its doors for lunch Wednesday and will donate 100 per cent of the proceeds to the relief efforts in Fort McMurray.
Not only that, the Central Grand Restaurant on Centre Street North is hosting two sold out, $100 dollar per plate dinners and a silent auction.
Manager Chuck Wong says their doors will be open for extended lunch hours Wednesday, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
“Let’s say they eat $50 dollars [worth of] food with the GST everything and if they want to put gratuity on top they can do that,” he explained. “The whole total will go to the Red Cross toward Fort McMurray.”
The restaurant has already donated more than $60,000 dollars to the Red Cross before the government imposed deadline to match the funds on May 31st.
