Final day for Global Petroleum Show

The Global Petroleum Show will wrap up with a dialogue with Indigenous peoples Thursday.

The Indigenous Conference of Energy and Mining begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency.

First Nations government and business leaders will be sharing important issues with oil and gas operators.

Tough times in the energy sector have led to smaller crowds at the show this year.

Alberta’s Energy Minister Joe Ceci was cautiously optimistic about oil reaching $50 a barrel, as he spoke to a crowd at the Energy Leaders’ Breakfast Wednesday, saying it will be several more weeks until we know the full financial impact of the wildfire in Fort McMurray.
