You can take a drive to Red Deer this weekend and “get your nerd on.”
Organizers are hoping 10-15,000 people will attend the city’s very first Comic and Entertainment Expo.
CEO Ben Marasco says in addition to appearances from celebrities like Agents of Shield’s Chloe Bennet and Gotham’s Morena Baccarin, there’s plenty more to take in.
“There’s a big kids’ zone, with all different inflatables and fun activities for families and kids. There is a big video games area, with a retro arcade — all free. Different panels, industry workshops, different tabletop gaming areas,” he said.
Marasco teases they’ll be posting last minute surprises and guests on their Facebook page.
The Expo runs Saturday and Sunday at Red Deer’s Westerner Park.
