Canada’s first solar park opens in Vulcan

Canada’s first ever solar park is open, and it’s a short drive from Calgary.

The town of Vulcan, along with Bullfrog Power and Peavey Mart were on hand for the opening, right after the Spock Days parade.

Mayor Tom Grant says that this solar park was built around the concepts of energy efficiency, aesthetics, and energy production.

It’s an integrated community green space with a renewable energy facility that will generate 23.5 kWh of renewable electricity for the community.

Check out the park just south of the Vulcan business development society building.
