Betty’s Run raises almost $400K for ALS

The 20th Annual Betty’s Run for ALS has raised nearly $400,000.

More than 1,500 people laced up their sneakers Sunday in north Glenmore Park to help those suffering from the degenerative disease.

Erin Serack, who was diagnosed with ALS last year, served as the run ambassador.

Serack says she had a choice to dwell on what might be, but instead chose to embrace the diagnosis as a blessing in her life.
