One person has died following a stabbing Thursday afternoon.
Calgary Police responded to a medical clinic on the 1600 block of Centre Street N, around 2:40 p.m.
EMS confirm they declared one man dead on scene, and they took a woman believed to be in her 50’s to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Another man was treated for minor injuries, then taken into police custody.
Witnesses say the deceased was a doctor at the clinic.
In a news conference, Duty Inspector Dean Lagrange confirmed the incident is domestic in nature, but they will not go further into how the three people knew each other, although it appears the attacker and the injured woman were in a relationship.
Lagrange adds that, to his knowledge, the deceased ran the clinic where the incident occurred.
Police are talking with six witnesses at the scene, and they have also taped off the suspect’s SUV in the parking lot.
The Homicide Unit will continue the investigation.
