An investigation is now underway after police uncovered a body from the Bow River.
Det. Travis Ibach says reports came in about a body in the water in the 400 block of Riverfront Avenue around 6 a.m. Sunday.
“Police attended and located an adult male and he was confirmed deceased at the scene,” Ibach said. “(The Calgary Fire Department’s) water rescue (team) assisted in removing the body, and at this time it appears to be not suspicious.”
The medical examiner was also called to the scene, but has yet to determine a cause of death.
