RCMP arrest man saved from burning trailer

Spruce Grove RCMP saved a 40-year-old man from a fire, and then put him in cuffs.
Mounties were called to investigate an assault on Calahoo Rd. in Spruce Grove at about 1 a.m. on Saturday.
When they arrived on scene, they found smoke coming out of a trailer.
After multiple attempts, two officers were able to enter the residence. They found Kenneth Craven inside, and got him out to safety.
He was treated by paramedics on scene, and then arrested and taken into police custody.
Craven has since been charged with multiple counts, including two counts of aggravated assault, uttering threats, forcible confinement, assault and failing to comply with a probation order.
No one else was injured in the incident, but four pets did die in the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
