It happens during the Calgary Stampede, but this rodeo doesn’t involve horses, bulls, or steers.
The first ever Innovation Rodeo is for entrepreneurs.
Craig Elias, who calls himself the event’s chief wrangler, says they’ll help entrepreneurs connect, get motivated, and learn.
“On Monday, it’s innovating, Tuesday — it’s building out your idea and your team, Wednesday’s all about getting started, Thursday’s all about — so, now, you’ve got a little business how do you make it grow? And on Friday, what we do is we have a panel discussion on financing from noon until 2,” he explained.
Friday’s agenda also includes pitch presentations before a panel of celebrity judges.
The Innovation Rodeo runs from July 11-15 at the ATB Entrepreneur Centre on 17 Avenue SW.
