Going camping this weekend?
Don’t make those rookie camper mistakes!
Campground Owner Mark Bingeman advises to plan your meals out.
Whatever you do, don’t be the one who forgets the utensils!
“We always tell people, you know, the best thing you can do is if you can cook it on a stick, you’ll have it made, but one of the biggest items, if you go to the local outfitters, or even your local home hardware store, they’ve got utensil kits,” he explained.
A little trick to start a fire: grab a toilet paper tube from home stuff it with dryer lint or old papers, then put your wood on top, light the fire and away you go.
Bingeman says bring a flashlight and batteries.
You can also use glow sticks to mark a path to your tent, and alert passersby to tent stakes, so they don’t trip over them.
