Legislature plans Canada Day bash

The Alberta Legislature is throwing out the welcome mat for a big Canada Day party.

Free activities start at 10 a.m. Friday, and include musical performances, a Family Fun Zone, and arts and crafts.

At noon, there’s a 21 gun salute.

From 12:30 to 5 p.m. Friday, visitors can also walk onto the floor of the assembly, and see where MLAs sit.
