Devonian Gardens to close for maintenance work

The popular Devonian Gardens in The CORE Shopping Centre will be closing to the public for nearly six months after the Calgary Stampede.

The city and property managers 20 Vic Management Inc. made the decision in order to complete some life-cycle and maintenance work on the planter beds.

It was decided a full closure would allow crews to work faster.

The city says it will still honour all current bookings in the park as there is no work planned on the east side where private events are held.

This work comes only four years after a $37-million renovation.
