Notley says Alberta will make case why all of Canada needs pipeline

Alberta’s premier said there can’t be any unnecessary federal delays when it comes to making sure any pipeline is built to transport the province’s oil to international markets.
Premier Rachel Notley says Alberta will continue to work hard to make the case why all of Canada needs a pipeline to get its oil to ports so it can be sold to overseas markets.
She says a decision has to be made and the federal government can’t “dither” on this for a lot longer.
The future of the Northern Gateway pipeline proposal is now in the hands of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government.
Last week, a court quashed a permit issued by the federal cabinet in 2014.
Kinder Morgan’s expansion of its Trans Mountain pipeline is also in the hands of government after the National Energy Board sanctioned it earlier this year.
Notley says if she was in the federal government she wouldn’t shut down any options until she knew there was one that would be successful.
