Flash flooding hits SE Calgary

An intense storm blew through Calgary on Tuesday afternoon left commuters stranded and stopped CTrain service.
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued at 3:45 p.m. after Environment Canada meteorologists tracked a severe storm, which produced very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
Some of the hardest hit areas were CTrain stations along the Red Line in the south, including Chinook, Heritage and Southland.
There were also power outages in the communities of Lake Bonavista, Diamond Cove, Deer Ridge, Bonavista Downs, Silverado, Pump Hill, Palliser and Oakridge.
