Charge laid in May 2016 murder

Calgary police charged a woman in connection to a fatal assault in the N.E.
CPS say Lori Ann Heavenfire, 34, faces a second-degree murder charge in relation to the death of her criminal associate, Tyler Sanderson.
Officials responded to the 5500 block of Maddock Drive N.E. with reports of a serious assault on May 15, 2016. It is believed the victim met with a woman in relation to drug activity.
Investigators say the 24-year-old victim made his way home after the altercation, before collapsing in his yard where he was found by family members. He later died in hospital.
Heavenfire will next appear in court on Wednesday, July 20.
