A whirlwind of discussion about renewables happened Monday night in Calgary
An open house at the University of Calgary gathered experts and everyday Albertans for feedback about energy efficiency.
Panel Leader Dr. David Wheeler says they want to make sure Albertans see benefits in the short term.
“I’m beginning to learn how much people are committed in this province to energy efficiency and renewables, and I do believe with the right leadership and design, the new Energy Efficiency Agency for Alberta will become a national leader in relatively short order, certainly within a matter of a few years,” he said.
A second open house happens Wednesday in Edmonton.
The panel will also be meeting with education groups, First Nations leaders, and Metis leaders in the next few months.
